General Notary Work
Loan Signing Services
Remote Online Notarizations (via BlueNotary.us)
I-9 Employment Verifications
Estate Document Notarizations (not document preparation)
We do not provide legal advice or legal document drafting services.
We do not accept payments through our website. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise agreed. Accepted payment methods include:
Cash
Check
Zelle
CashApp
Venmo
Credit/debit cards (via Square in person)
A deposit may be required only if a prior appointment was canceled within 1 hour of its scheduled time.
As payment is typically collected after the appointment, refunds are rare. However, refunds may be issued at our discretion if:
A notarized document contains errors attributable to us
The client chooses not to proceed with us applying document corrections, and wishes to use another notary
To respect everyone’s time, we kindly ask for at least a 1 hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
Less than a 1 hour notice or no-show: A $25 no-show fee will apply
Rescheduling is allowed via phone, text, or email
If an unpaid fee results from a missed or failed appointment, it will be applied to any future appointment and a 50% deposit will be required.
We offer mobile notary services within a 40-mile radius. Beyond that, a remote online notarization will be offered if appropriate.
We reserve the right to decline or terminate services at any time, including if:
The location is unsafe
The signer lacks valid identification
The signer lacks the capacity to proceed
The document is incomplete
The notary, at their sole discretion, does not feel comfortable continuing
If we arrive at the scheduled location but are unable to complete the notarization for reasons beyond our control (e.g., invalid ID, incoherent signer), the full travel and service fee still applies. If unpaid, this fee will be attached to future appointments with a required deposit.
For in-person notarizations, we do not retain any copies of documents.
For Remote Online Notarizations, documents are securely stored by our platform provider, BlueNotary.us.
For Loan Signings, all documents are sent to the title company. We do not retain any personal records, ID copies, or signed forms.
We are not attorneys and do not offer legal advice. Any questions regarding the legal effect of a document must be directed to a licensed attorney. Our services are limited to identifying signers, administering oaths, witnessing signatures, and completing notarial certificates as allowed by Texas law.
Palmer Notary & Signing Co. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services. Our liability, if any, is limited to the amount paid for the notarial service, except as otherwise required by law or covered under applicable surety bond or errors and omissions (E&O) insurance policies. We maintain a Texas notary bond and a professional E&O insurance policy, which may provide additional protections depending on the nature of the claim.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. By using our services, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of Texas courts for any disputes arising out of these terms.
We may update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with the effective date noted above.
